Get Involved

Human Continuity Institute runs on contributors, not just members — volunteer researchers building Digital DNA, writers and analysts for AI News, reviewers in our expert network, and partners helping governments govern AI responsibly. Here’s how to take part.

HCI is a young, growing organisation still building its funding base. Most pathways below are unpaid or in-kind today — that’s also where the real early shaping of these projects happens, and it’s how everyone currently working with HCI got started. No unpaid role implies a future paid one, but as HCI grows, paid roles will draw first from people already contributing.

Ways to contribute

✓ Remote · Flexible · Open worldwide

How it works

  • Pick a pathway or role above and follow its link — most lead to a short form or a contributor brief.
  • HCI’s founder and founding advisors review what comes in personally; there’s no automated screening yet, so a thoughtful note goes a long way.
  • You’ll hear back directly by email. HCI is still small, so there’s no fixed response-time guarantee, but every submission gets a reply.
No unpaid pathway above asks for identity documents or payment details — only what’s needed to evaluate interest. If you’d rather not use a public form, email contact@human-continuity.org directly.

For universities, NGOs, and government bodies

Proposing joint research, a training partnership, or institutional collaboration is a different conversation from an individual volunteering. Visit our Partner With Us page to submit a proposal, or see the AI for Developing Governments initiative if government partnership is the fit.
