Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 17 July 2026

By using human-continuity.org (the “Site”) — including submitting a form, making a donation, joining as a member, or using AI Ethical Labs or the Digital DNA Project — you agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.

1. Who we are

Human Continuity Institute is an NGO registered in Estonia, founded in 2024.

2. Membership

Membership is free and subject to review. We may decline or revoke membership at our discretion, including for misuse of the Site, misrepresentation in an application, or violation of these Terms.

3. AI Ethical Labs — paid services

  • Pricing shown on the Site (Standard $150, Comprehensive $350, Enterprise $800) is a starting estimate. A final quote is provided after intake review, before you commit to payment.
  • Review timelines begin only after payment is received and confirmed, not from the submission date.
  • Reviews combine AI-assisted intake with a final assessment by human subject-matter experts; we do not represent any review as purely automated or purely human.
  • Refunds: a full refund is available if we are unable to match you with a suitable expert within 14 business days of payment, less any administrative expenses already incurred. Once expert review has begun, fees are non-refundable. If the scope of a review changes materially after intake, a partial refund or adjusted fee may apply.
  • Reports are provided for the submitter’s own use. We are not liable for decisions made based on our assessments, and our review does not constitute legal advice.

4. Digital DNA Project

  • Submitting the interest form is an expression of interest only, not a binding agreement to submit materials.
  • You retain ownership of all materials you submit. We do not use your materials for AI training, research, or the Eternity initiative unless you give separate, explicit consent for that specific use.
  • You may withdraw at any stage prior to final delivery of your profile and request deletion of any materials already received.

5. Continuity Archive

  • By submitting a message to the Archive, you grant HCI a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to publish, reproduce, and preserve it as part of the Archive, including for potential use in ethical AI research, unless you opt out of research use at submission.
  • Do not submit content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, or that you do not have the right to share. We reserve the right to review, edit, or decline any submission before publication.
  • Because permanence is central to the Archive’s purpose, removal requests are handled case by case rather than guaranteed.

6. Donations

  • Donations are processed via PayPal, and by arrangement for bank transfer. Donations are generally non-refundable except where required by law.
  • Supporter names and amounts may be listed publicly on the Donate page unless you request to remain anonymous.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to: submit false information; attempt to bypass security or spam protections; use the Site to harass, defraud, or harm others; or use content from the Site (including Archive messages) for commercial purposes without permission.

8. Intellectual property

Site content, branding, and design are owned by HCI or its licensors. Archive and Digital DNA contributions remain the contributor’s intellectual property, subject to the licence granted in Sections 4–5.

9. Disclaimers & liability

The Site and its services are provided “as is.” HCI is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Site, to the maximum extent permitted by law. AI Ethical Labs reports are advisory and do not constitute legal, financial, or regulatory advice.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Estonian courts, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance.
